Bicycle Rodeo Bike Inspection

Annual APAL Recognition Dinner was held on Sunday, December 2, 2011. This family event recognizes the efforts and successes of all of the APAL participants, coaches, and instructors. It is the one time during the year that all of the Albany Police Activities League participants get together. Pizza, cake, and lots of prizes and awards made for a fun evening for all. Thank you Reece and Kira Halpern for donating the pizza and to Safeway for donating the rest of the food.

APAL sponsored the rock climbing wall at the Police Department's Safety Palooza on July 30, 2011. Climbers, both children and adults enjoyed the wall the entire day.

The Albany Police Department and APAL have held successful bicycle rodeos since 2007. At these events young riders complete a confidence course with help from Albany Strollers and Rollers. Free helmets are given out to many youth in attendance and Solano Cyclery inspects the bicycles owned by participants. The highlights of the afternoon are trick riding demonstrations by 2Hip. All in attendance are thrilled by the daring of the riders.

On November 7, 2010 the Diablo League Championship Tournament was hosted by APAL. Congratulations to all of the Wrestlers and Coaches for another exciting event.
